Translate Amastan's sentences
Tamazight
Aissimahfoud06
The Tamahaq sentences I've added come directly from a native speaker. I already have a huge corpus of Tamahaq sentences written in the Latin script by one of your colleagues from Tamanrasset. They have already been proofread and will be added soon under the Berber/Tamazight label.
This is just the beginning:
https://tatoeba.org/eng/tags/sh..._with_tag/9865
The Algerian constitution of 2016 declares Tamazight as an official language and the state shall work to promote it in all its variants. That's what the Tatoeba members contributing in the various regional variants of Tamazight are doing here.
Aissimahfoud06
I have already started working on a Tamahaq corpus on Tatoeba in collaboration with a colleague of yours:
https://tatoeba.org/eng/tags/sh..._with_tag/9865
You're welcome to participate from now on.

Soliloquist,
Never mind for the results. Thanks for your answer and attempt to help me. I have always assumed that there was some sort of "syntax" or signs that would could write in the typing field of the search engine (as those explained in Tatoeba' wiki) to expand the search result. I'm also happy to find out that Tamazight/Berber has the highest growth. Thank you very much for your encouragement. I also look forward to seeing Turkish become Tatoeba's first language ;-) In the meanwhile, Tamazight will be continuing its ascension to catch up with it ^v^

Tamazight-Arabic translation
@Soliloquist & @Osohombre
I would like to thank you from the deepest of my heart for supporting this initiative. I am republishing the message in Arabic so that North Africans and others who can't read English would get the message and hopefully join into the effort.
Soliloquist,
Tatoeba's search results are currently limited to 1000 results. What if someone wanted to see more than 1000 sentences in the results?
Tamazight/Berber-Arabic translation
Attn: Contributors to the Arabic corpus
Since Tamazight is an official language in Algeria and Morocco alongside Arabic, I vividly encourage you to translate as many sentences in Arabic as possible on Tatoeba. A rich Arabic corpus will certainly drain countless new contributors in Tamazight (Berber) especially from outside Kabylie (eastern Algeria), particularly from the Aures, Mzab, and from Morocco and Libya. Since Arabic is often the strongest language of many North African Amazigh speakers, I think it is absolutely necessary for Tatoeba to have a huge corpus in the Arabic language that would be a source for countless Amazigh translations in the future. In addition to that, it's also needless to state that since Tamazight and Arabic are now co-official to each other, the promotion of translation between these two languages is absolutely necessary.
This is why I kindly invite all the Arabic language contributors to contribute as many sentences as possible so that they would be a source corpus for any future Amazighophone contributors.
Brotherhood through languages must be promoted
I think that Tatoeba is an ideal place for that
Thank you very much

Tamazight/Berber is now number 13 on Tatoeba's list of languages with more than 123,700 sentences. Congratulations to all the Amazighophone members who contributed to this achievement. Our next goal won't be easy: catching up with Japanese :-) Good luck to all of us!

You're not the only one who should thank Tatoeba for its neutrality. I should thank it, too. And Alan, I think you could delete both of these comments (mine and Alemfarid's). Neutrality should go both ways ;-)
Tamazight/Berber has more than 122,000 sentences. Our short-term goal is to catch up with Ukrainian.
Do you wanna race, Deniko ;-)

MessDjaaf: He is one of the most brilliant Amazigh-language etymologies. He once told me that when 2 lexical roots from 2 different languages have more than 1 consonant in common, it's very unlikely that this is a coincidence. However, you also need to be sure of the etymologies of the roots. For example, "tawwurt" (which is sometimes pronounced [tappurt] by the Kabyle women of some regions) obviously neither comes from French nor from Latin. This is a good example of a coincidence.
I wish we could have extensive corpora of the Khanty, Mansi, Hungarian and Turkic languages. Some Hungarians are particularly interested in a possible genetic connection between Hungarian and Turkic languages.
I am actively looking for Khanty and Mansi speakers who could join Tatoeba and contribute in their respective languages. Some Hungarians are helping me.
