You are still far from being perfect :)

You see this box after clicking the translation button (under the translation field). Just choose "Spanish" instead of "Auto detect".

You can set the Spanish by default and then change it if necesarry.

Non, ce n'est certainement pas le cas ici. Cela m'est arrivé plusieurs fois, même lorsque je ne sélectionnais aucune langue (bouton "Toutes les langues"). Et en plus, je suis sûre que ces phrases n'étaient pas récentes.

There used to be a warning message after clicking the translation button. Something like "Are you sure you understand this sentence? If not you should return and choose the sentence in a language you understand and want to translate... Please don't forget the punctuation and the capital letters." Unfortunately I don't remember the exact wording anymore but I guess this message might be stored somewhere in the Launchpad archive because it has been translated into many languages.
Somehow, I believe it should be restored. It would prevent the newcomers of doing the bad linking, as is the case in 50% of new users' entries.
