flag?
Ukrainian. What's the problem?
I thought it should be russian, sorry!
Yes, sometimes Russian and Ukrainian are so similar that they are written in the same way, but the pronunciation differs.
It looks perfect Russian ;-)
Is it pronounced in Ukrainian differently than in Russian?
Yes, it is.
(I thought you could specify in what way... ;-))
Ok, I'm not very good at transcribing, but I'll try it with the IPA.
Russian: [jɪˈtoćnə n’ɪˈznaʉ]
Ukrainian: [jɑˈtɔčnɔ nɪˈznɑju]
Thank you very much!
I can see that the most conspicuous difference is the "o", which remains "o" in Ukrainian ("tochno" rather than "tochna", as in Russian).
All unstressed vowels are reduced in Russian and are clear in Ukrainian. Also, Ukrainian has much fewer soft consonants.
