Sometimes, the only good way to translate a sentence is to break it up into two (notice that the Serbian is just one).

But, in general, I haven't gotten the impression that it's "wrong" to have multiple sentences submitted as "a sentence". You'll find that there are entire paragraphs on Tatoeba sometimes...

The sentence rule is just a guideline, if I'm not mistaken (but I'd let the mods comment on that).

I agree with FeuDRenais, we say "sentence" in opposition to "words" or "text", it can be several sentences if it's still short.
