I can't understand neither this sentence nor the English one (“It's too bad that I don't need to lose weight”).
Is the speaker unhappy about the fact she (or he) doesn’t have to lose weight (i.e. her weigh is normal)?!
I believe Russian sentence should be changed to something like “Очень плохо, что...”. But I don’t want to change the sentence until I’ve understood it.
The English and the Japanese match. My theory is that the speaker has, unfortunately, had to miss a meal or exercise a lot and is saying something like
"It's too bad that I don't need to lose weight (because that would have made missing that meal worthwhile)."
Ah! I see. Well, that makes perfect sense.
