@NNC: Russian
Would a hyphen be needed here?
In neutral sentences, dash is not used after pronouns. If you use dash, it makes sentence more emphatic.
By the way, hyphen (дефис [dʲɪˈfʲis]) and dash (тире [tʲɪˈrɛ]) are different things. :P Dash is longer (but it is absent from keyboard, so everybody uses hyphens... unfortunately).
Sometimes (but very rarely) it can change meaning, e.g. if you write код Рида—Соломона, it's a code created by 2 people called Reed and Solomon, and if you write код Рида-Соломона, it's a code created by one person called Reed-Solomon.
Well, theoretically. In practice everyone ignores this. :'(
Oh I see, thank you! :)
