Кстати, ББС лучше заменить на Би-Би-Си, «Би-Би-Си» или BBC.

ББС читалось бы «бэ-бэ-сэ», что неверно.

А ещё al в арабских словах обычно передают как аль. См. http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Аль

Да вообще-то теоретически в литературном русском и ‘ы’, и ‘а’ нейтрализуются в этой позиции (если ударение не падает на ‘ты’) до [ə], так что всё логично.

Правда, в моей речи это происходит сравнительно редко, т.к. под влияние белорусского у меня редукция значительно слабее (в общем-то, я могу отличить слова ‘странное’ и ‘странные’, хотя, согласно литературной норме, они должны произноситься одинаково).
